Support the Urban Systems Lab to help advance climate resilience and equity in cities worldwide. Our interdisciplinary team partners with city governments, NGOs, and community organizations to provide urgently needed climate services, adaptation strategies, and cutting-edge tools which help communities face emerging threats like flooding and extreme heat. Research and Exchange Opportunities
The Urban Systems Lab is a research center at New York University in New York City, homed within the Environmental Studies Department. We welcome collaboration and partnerships with research institutions and groups, however we invite you to please review the information below before contacting us about joining the Lab.
PhD Candidates
Researchers and scholars without a PhD or terminal degree must be enrolled in a PhD program at New York University in order to join the Lab. Following your acceptance into a PhD program, please reach out to us to discuss opportunities.
Visiting Scholars
If you are currently a faculty member or researcher at another institution we occasionally host visiting scholars to engage with and compliment ongoing research at the Lab. Please complete this Interest Form with basic information about your potential visit, including a description of your proposed research, its alignment with our work, and identification of who you would like to work with from our team. Submission does not guarantee placement or affiliation. We receive a large volume of requests, and will only reach out if we identify a potential match with your proposed visit.
Undergraduate and Graduate Students
The Urban Systems Lab provides research assistantships when funding is available to support ongoing research projects and substantive academic tasks.
